EU Mission Statement

Evangelia University exists to equip God’s men and women globally for ministry in the Church and the world, and the advancement of God’s Kingdom in all spheres of life under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

 

EU Institutional Purposes

To fulfill its mission, Evangelia University is committed to:

  1. Equipping students with a biblically grounded, Reformed faith and worldview with its emphasis on the Lordship of Jesus Christ over every sphere of life;
  2. Nurturing students in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ through a rigorous study of the Word of God, the disciplines of spiritual formation, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit;
  3. Preparing pastoral and congregational leaders who are equipped to serve their congregations as faithful servants of Jesus Christ;
  4. Helping students grow in understanding of and effective engagement with the people embracing other religious traditions and worldviews to communicate to them the Christian Gospel;
  5. Cultivating a Kingdom culture within and outside of the institution and the Church to further God’s kingly rule in every sphere of life under the Lordship of Jesus Christ

 

EU Institutional Outcomes

Graduating students will have demonstrated:

  1. A commitment to a biblically grounded, Reformed faith and worldview and the Lordship of Christ Jesus;
  2. An ability to read and interpret the Bible in its various contexts accurately, relate the Biblical truths to personal and public realms of life and ministry in an appropriate manner, and teach or preach them to others effectively;
  3. A personal and spiritual formation that is rooted in the grace of Christ Jesus, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and developed through a regular practice of spiritual disciplines;
  4. Ministerial competence to serve the Church as the servants of Christ;
  5. A cultural sensitivity toward the people embracing other religious traditions and worldviews and an ability to effectively engage with them to communicate to them the Christian gospel or to lead to a cultural transformation of the world;
  6. A commitment to the advancement of God’s kingly rule in every sphere of life under the Lordship of Christ.
